Tenafly High School Elects Class, Student Organization Officers

As the 2024-2025 school year is drawing to a close, the annual Class Office and Student Organization elections were held on April 28. Candidates of each grade running for Class Office delivered speeches to their respective grade levels, the freshmen presenting in the auxiliary gym, the sophomores in the cafeteria, and the juniors in the main gym. 

The role of leading school spirit and curating a welcoming environment at Tenafly High School has always been a key factor in Tenafly. The following students were selected by the student body for their potential, starting with the Student Organization:

Student Organization President: Romi Lipzin (’26)

Romi is excited to have been elected as S.O. President. She’s looking forward to raising school spirit and implementing changes to reduce stress in Tenafly. Romi’s favorite activities are thrifting, traveling, and reading by the beach.

Student Organization Vice President: Coby Cohen (’26)

Coby will be the Student Organization Vice President for the 2025-2026 school year. Coby is a captain on the lacrosse team and the president of the Social Activism Club. He enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and going to the gym.

Student Organization Secretary: Andrea Koo  (’26)

Andrea is excited to represent Tenafly High School as S.O. Secretary. She can be commonly found in the band room, softball field, or in any decent ice cream place within a 25 mile radius.

Student Organization Treasurer: Davin Shin  (’26)

Davin is the S.O. Treasurer for the 2025-26 school year after being class treasurer over the past 2 years. He plays in the school soccer team and is a Senior Staff Writer for The Echo.

Junior Board of Ed. Rep: Joanna Cheng  (’27)

It’s Joanna’s first year as Junior Board of Education Representative. She plays attack in lacrosse and the trumpet in the marching band. She also runs the Tenafly Soundbooth, The Echo’s weekly podcast.

 

Here are the results for the elected class officers for the Class of 2026, who look forward to showcasing a fantastic final year:

Senior Class President: JaeHa (Justin) Kim (’26)

This is Justin’s third year as class president and he is very excited to lead for a final year.

Senior Class Vice President: Jared Corsair (’26)

This is Jared’s first year in office. He enjoys playing lacrosse and hanging with friends. 

Senior Class Secretary: Amelia Huang (’26)

Amelia plays on the varsity tennis team, enjoys eating out with friends, and is excited to help make the senior year for the Class of 2026 amazing.

Senior Class Treasurer: Devin Seth (’26)

This is Devin’s first time being elected as treasurer and he is very excited to represent his class.

 

These are the class officers for the Class of 2027 who are ready for another year at Tenafly High School:

Junior Class President: Mia Bareket (’27)

Mia will serve as the Class of 2027 president for the third consecutive year. She plays volleyball in her free time and is excited to represent the junior class.

Junior Class Vice President: Brooke Neuman (’27)

This is Brooke’s second year as class vice president! She’s so excited for the upcoming year and hoping to have fun with her peers.

Junior Class Secretary: Ryan Liles (’27)

Congrats Ryan on becoming class secretary for the junior Class of 2027! She loves spending time with her family and friends, playing volleyball and softball, and cooking.

Junior Class Treasurer: Alexander Manalang (’27)

This is Alex’s second year in office as treasurer. You might see him playing basketball on the court or lacrosse on the field.

 

Lastly, the sophomore class officers for the Class of 2028:

Sophomore Class President: Sebastein Belkhayat (’28)

Sebastein is excited to be president of his class for another year. He enjoys playing lacrosse and basketball.

Sophomore Class Vice President: Owen Morrison (’28)

This is Owen’s second year as vice president. He plans to do more events for his class and to win Olympics this year. 

Sophomore Class Secretary: Lloyd Ahn (’28)

This is Lloyd’s second year as secretary for the class of 2028. He likes to play lacrosse and hang out with friends. He is excited to win Olympics this year!

Sophomore Class Treasurer: Jayden Guo (’28)

This is Jayden’s second year as treasurer. He plays many sports for the school and he is ready to lead the sophomore class!

As the newly elected Class and Student Organization Officers are looking forward to their future roles, they have a list of events planned for the 2025-2026 school year. Although the year draws to an end in a few weeks, there are numerous opportunities to look forward to in the subsequent 2025-2026 school year.
