Olympics Results and Fun Facts

The biggest day of the year concluded on Friday, March 3rd. Olympics XLIV was the first “normal” Olympics since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. This past Olympics was a very successful day featuring many of its previous traditions, including a return of the entire student body into the Main Gym for all of the exciting Opening Events that were able to run in their entirety. This Olympics also saw the introduction of several new additions. Here are some Olympics event results and fun facts!
In case you missed out on the overall Olympics XLIV results:
1st place: Jersey Shore Juniors with 469 points.
2nd place: Sophmarios with 432 points (in addition to 2nd place, the sophomores received the Sportsmanship award for the second year in a row).
3rd place: Four Leaf Freshmen with 409.50 points.
4th place: Super Seniors with 399 points.

Here are some Olympics Fun Facts:
- There were 16 no-shows in total this year for breakout events, which is amazing compared to past years.
- Olympic Advisor Ms. Barker’s favorite event to watch was Lip Sync Battle.
- Skyler Salk did a puppet show for the Lip Sync Battle, which was a rare occurrence.
- This was the first year that there was a fashion show for a breakout event (called Project Runway).
- Ms. Barker used to be an Olympic Chair (this year’s Olympic Chairs were Gia Schreitmueller and Sophie Fuentecilla) when she attended Tenafly High School as a student.
- The new additions to this year’s breakout events were: Saran Wrap Race, Wordle, and Mario Party.
