Midget Mafia OG’s Journey of Becoming an Influencer

Midget Mafia OG’s Journey of Becoming an Influencer

Social media is an addictive platform being used every day by people all around the world. Although there are negative opinions about it for the mindless scrolling it encourages, social media is also a place where people can build careers and share their interests. TikToker Midget Mafia OG is a prime example of someone who brings out the positives of social media by spreading kindness and positivity.

Famous for his unique voice and unusual stature of 3′, 11″, Judy Cieutat, most commonly known as Midget Mafia OG, is an actor, stunt double, and TikTok influencer with 2.5 million followers. Despite his status as a top influencer on the platform, Midget Mafia OG comes from humble beginnings. Unlike many TikTok stars today, he emphasizes that he is a rather average person behind the ring light and camera.

Not really much to say, I’m just like everyone else,” Midget Mafia OG said. “We all came from something. I can say I came from a smaller southern town. We grew up outside riding four wheelers, go karts, motorcycles, and having fun from sun up till sunset. We had to create fun, [as there] was no app for that back then.”

Similarly to many other stars, Midget Mafia OG didn’t initially plan on becoming a TikTok sensation, as he had only downloaded the app at the request of his oldest daughter. Initially, he only had around 350 followers. But, soon enough, a video where he expressed his love for Reese’s Pieces and Life Save Gummies became viral, and got him to 100k followers. From there, he grew more and more!

According to the TikTok star, his fame was quite abrupt, as he gained it from a video he hadn’t put much effort into. “Well…it went crazy,” Midget Mafia OG said. “It now has like 53 million views [and has] been used by celebrities — even Akin and North did a video [on it].”

Ever since his unexpected rise to an internet star, the influencer has received nicknames related to the trend such as “the Reesy Peecy’s Guy” and “Rhesus Pieces” as a play on his Southern drawl. Given his sudden popularity, he promised his followers that he would post a video of him running once he reached 20,000 followers. Funnily enough, when the video with this promise was posted, he received 8.9 million views and 1.6 million likes over the course of three months, and he’s been one of TikTok’s most beloved influencers since.

Despite all of the glory that comes with being an influencer, Midget Mafia OG also recognizes the challenges that accompany this demanding job, and shares advice to those who also want to take the same path.

“Just be yourself,” Midget Mafia OG said. “Stop trying to be another influencer, or following trends, [and] be yourself. It takes patience, hard work, dedication and commitment…Do not let people who hate drag you down — use them as leverage.”

Furthermore, in the midst of the unpredictable career of being an influencer, Midget Mafia OG also likes to share the significance of prioritizing oneself and one’s happiness.

“Life is short, you need to enjoy what you do in life,” Midget Mafia OG said. “[Whether] you are famous or not, your life is meaningless if it’s not meaningful,” Midget Mafia said.

Midget Mafia OG is an inspiration to all the aspiring influencers out there. You don’t need to start famous or know every step of the way to creating a viral video if you want to be an influencer:  all you have to do is have fun, be consistent, and be you.
