According to Rolling Stone, fifteen years after their legendary feud, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis have put aside their differences and are reuniting for a series of concerts in the U.K. and Ireland for 2025.
After years of infighting between the brothers, the band split up in 2009. Just before a festival in Paris, Liam parted ways with Noel and the Oasis band, avoiding contact with any member for several years. Originally, the band consisted of four members: Liam Gallagher (lead vocals), Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar), and Tony McCarroll (drums). They later invited Noel to be another vocalist in the band.
“While the Gallagher brothers haven’t performed together since, both regularly perform Oasis songs at their solo gigs,” NBC Chicago said. “ They’ve also each fired off criticisms of the other in the press.”
“I am super excited that the Oasis band is getting back together. It produced some of the best, most creative, good vibes music,” Niko Mzyk said (’27). “ Their music always sends good morals which I really love and it’s really upbeat, which gets people hype. So yeah, I’m super happy they’re getting back together in Manchester.”
The Oasis Band tour will kick off on July 4 and run through August 17. The tour will cover places all across Europe, including Manchester, Ireland, Dublin, and other places around the United Kingdom. According to Billboard, the Oasis band will be performing some of its top-chart songs, such as “Some Might Say,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” “Lyla,” and “D’You Know What I Mean”
Will the brothers and the band be able to resolve their differences and stay together? Or will they once again go their separate ways? Only time will tell.
