Alex Cooper, a podcaster on Call Her Daddy, recently acknowledged the ongoing feud between her and influencer/DWTS finalist, Alix Earle, adding fuel to the fire. Unwell Network has owned Call Her Daddy since August of 2023 when it also signed Earle to start up her own podcast, Hot Mess. Earle and Cooper began as friends but things started to change when Hot Mess was removed from the network in March of 2025 with little explanation of why. Since then, the tension between Earle and Cooper has only grown, keeping fans curious as to what the source of their conflict was in the first place.
Last Thursday, April 9, Earle posted a video of a woman calling Cooper an “ambulance chaser” and a “grim reaper” profiting off of celebrities sharing their traumatic stories. This caught many people’s attention because it was the first public attack on Cooper from Earle. Since then, Earle has been caught shamelessly commenting and reposting videos that throw shade on Cooper. Cooper has not responded any less publicly or civilly.
“Alix Earle, hey girl, the passive aggressive reposts and the likes and commenting on things—I got to call you out here,” Cooper shared in a TikTok, posted on April 13, tagging Earle. “You’re going to need to get specific and just say what you got to say about me. There’s no NDA, no one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself.” Cooper also said, “Talk, unless the fake narrative that you’re creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth, I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me.” Cooper had no hesitation in calling Earle out on being “passive-aggressive” and making up a “fake narrative,” but she didn’t explain what the problem between them was either. Once again, the fans are left in the dark with no explanation of how their problems started or what they grew into.
Earle commented on this video, “Okay on it!,” hinting at an upcoming true explanation of what has been going on. She also posted a TikTok of her own shortly after her reaction to the callout video from Cooper. Her friends had woken her up to show her, and she sat there speechless with a grin on her face, showing confidence that she’s in the right and doesn’t need to worry. Earle has yet to follow up and post her explanation, so in the meantime, other people are getting involved, sharing their side of the story.
Branna LaPaglia (Chickenfry), another podcaster and influencer, publicly sided with Earle, calling Cooper a “mean girl.” Cooper responded by posting a statement on Instagram basically telling LaPaglia to stop involving herself. “While Alix tries to get her story together, let me address Brianna Chickenfry who is adding to the fake narrative and dog pile,” Cooper said. She followed by posting old DM’s between her and LaPaglia, showing people that they were friends, and LaPaglia is making up stuff just to be involved.
Lapaglia responded by telling her viewers that she never liked Alex Cooper since she met her through Barstool. She stated that she and Earle have been friends so she has heard the true story of what happened between the two from Earle, who put the mean girl role on Cooper. According to LaPaglia, Cooper allegedly called Dave Portnoy and told him she doesn’t care about the new podcasters’ signing, including Alix Earle, and she “only cares about the money.” This statement does not help Cooper’s case.
There’s a lot we still don’t know while we wait for Earle’s explanation, but the fact is, Earle and Cooper used to be friends, and now they are not. It’s hard to pick sides and know who is in the right when there is still so much missing from the story, so hopefully all will be revealed in time.
