Tesla Cybertruck Comes Back to the Future

Amidst the ocean of technological exploration, Tesla floats beyond and creates revolutionary projects that propel us into the future. While we consumers are already fascinated by the launch of electric cars, Tesla’s vision is stretching beyond Earth. A car “built for any planet” was made possible by Tesla.

On November 30, Tesla’s Cybertruck was unveiled to the public at its Gigafactory Texas in Austin. This “large metallic trapezoid,” according to CNBC, was claimed to be inspired by Blade Runner and The Spy Who Loved Me. Instead of traditional styles, Elon Musk intended for it to be “cyberpunk.”

The new Cybertruck was designed to adapt to any environment and have the ability to overcome any obstacles. Not only does it roam on land, but it also functions as a boat capable of traveling through mild bodies of water. Cybertruck was also designed to be bulletproof and shatter-resistant: “the Cybertruck’s body panels are made of ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel,” according to Yahoo Finance, and can withstand “the impact of a baseball at 70 MPH or class 4 hail.” While the truck has a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds and a payload of 2,500 pounds, its hardware allows it to “accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 130 miles per hour,” according to dezeen.com. Not to mention that a single charge will last the truck 340 miles (approximately five hours straight).

Despite the hardcore functions, Tesla exceeds consumers’ needs. The truck has two touchscreens in the front and back, 15 surrounding speakers, and a vast space, altogether achieving a “theater on wheels” mode. While immersed in the cinematic experience, customers can also be connected to nature. Its symbolic roof window upgrades with a more expansive view by using all glass. In addition, Cybertruck has a built-in outlet that provides enough power to keep home lights on under any grid outage and charging stations that charge any wireless devices.

Although Cybertruck functions as a heavy-duty vehicle, it checks off all criteria for a family camping trip to the woods. Its trunk is capable of transporting thousands of pounds with ease but is also qualified to be turned into a cozy tent. With this vast space, multifunction, and a “built-in hospital-grade HEPA filter” that filters “99.97% of airborne particles,” according to Tesla.com, Cybertruck claims to “keep your adventure going” and “expand your adventure.” In the meantime, it keeps the journey safe with its blindspot indicators and sensors; rather than side mirrors, Tesla designed cameras pointing backward at a specific angle at the front wheels, projecting the views from all sides.

While Tesla has launched just six models so far, it has a net worth of $700 billion. It remains to be seen whether this Cybertruck will be mass-produced or cyberbullied. But whatever the case, Back to the Future is here, and we are in the future.
